Welcome to the new 'Groups' section which replaces the previous Forum.
Do you have something to say, want to ask a question about your Solex or need some technical infomation? Do you have some surplus pieces to sell or have you found something interesting on the web and want to share it? Do you want to show everyone your restoration work on your Solex? Then this is the place for you!
Very Important notes! Please take a moment to read them before using the Group:
To help us provide you with the best possible answers to your questions, it is advisable to always quote the engine number of your Solex. (This is usually to be found at the back of the engine. See examples of where to find it here: https://www.velosolexclubuk.com/how-old-is-my-solex ) Posting a picture with your question is also very helpful. There are numerous subtle differences between the models and when we know exactly what you have, we can give you the best advice.
Our old Forum grew over the years and we provided answers to many Solex questions asked by members. The new Groups should be able provide the same service. Sometimes, we have answered the same questions more than once! In the header bar above, we have now put a 'Search site' button. It is very easy to use. Just type in the key words to your question and see if it has already appeared before. This will save you time if it has already been answered and keep the Forum pages uncluttered for new questions to be asked and answered. Thank you for your co-operation.
VeloSolex Club U.K. is a really friendly group of enthusiasts with members around the world and you will find no end of help available should you have a problem with your Solex. However, it also means we are a multi-cultural, multi-racial and a non-political group. Please respect this situation and refrain from making any sort of personal or political comments or observations in the Group. Any such comments made and deemed to be in breach of these rules will be removed immediately and membership will be suspended pending a revue of the breach.
